A slow sink is annoying. A main line that backs up every time the washer drains is a real problem. On a home with septic, the cause can be in the house drains, in the line out to the tank, or in the tank itself.
We clear clogged drains and main lines with snaking or hydro-jetting, and we look at the whole picture. If the tank is full or the outlet is blocked, cleaning the drain alone won't fix it, and we'll tell you.
What's included
- Clear clogged kitchen, bath, tub, and laundry drains
- Main line cleaning from the house to the septic tank
- Hydro-jetting for grease, sludge, and roots when snaking isn't enough
- Camera check of the line to find breaks, sags, or root intrusion
- Check the tank inlet and level so a full tank isn't missed
Signs you need this
- More than one drain is slow at the same time
- Gurgling in the toilet when the sink or tub drains
- Water backs up into the tub when the washer drains
- Clogs keep coming back after you plunge or use a store-bought snake
- Sewage smell from floor drains or the yard
One slow drain or the whole house?
If only one sink or tub is slow, the clog is usually close to that fixture: hair, soap, or grease in the trap or branch line.
If several drains are slow, or the lowest drain in the house backs up first, the problem is further down: the main line, the tank inlet, or a full septic tank. That's when you want someone who works on both drains and septic.
Hydro-jetting vs. snaking
A cable snake punches through a clog and is fine for most simple blockages. Hydro-jetting uses high-pressure water to scour the inside of the pipe, which works better on grease buildup, sludge, and fine roots.
For lines out to the tank and leach lines, see our septic line jetting and camera inspection service. Need the tank itself emptied? See septic tank pumping.
Keep drains clear on a septic system
Skip harsh chemical drain openers. They can harm the bacteria your tank depends on. Keep grease, wipes, and food scraps out of the drains, and keep the tank on a regular pumping schedule.
Drain Cleaning cost
Drain cleaning price depends on which line is clogged, how far it is from an access point, and whether it needs snaking, hydro-jetting, or a camera check. You get the price before work starts.

Common questions
Do you do drain cleaning in Gardnerville, Minden, and Carson City?
Yes. We cover Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Carson Valley (Gardnerville, Minden, Johnson Lane, Genoa), Dayton, and nearby towns. Call (916) 494-8868 to check your address.
Can a full septic tank cause slow drains?
Yes. When the tank is full, water has nowhere to go and drains slow down or back up. If more than one drain is slow, have the tank checked along with the drain.
Is hydro-jetting safe for my pipes?
A trained operator adjusts pressure for the pipe type and condition. A camera check first shows whether the pipe can handle it.
Should I use chemical drain cleaner on a septic system?
It's best not to. Harsh chemicals can upset the bacteria in your tank. Call for a mechanical cleaning instead.
